PolSit discussion at the training.

What to expect in 2018:

1. More killings under the war on drugs;

2. More killings and bombings under extended martial law in Mindanao;

3. More burden for the poor under the TRAIN (tax reform);

4. More local elite, dynastic and warlord rule under a ChaCha which will install a Duterte-type of federalism;

5. More foreign control as it dismantles remaining protectionist economic provisions in the constitution;

6. More unfulfilled and failed promises. Despite these, the redeeming feature of 2018 is:

7. More resistance to the authoritarian, neoliberal, and bankrupt policies of the Duterte regime.
